What is Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery?

Arthroscopic shoulder surgery is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat various shoulder conditions. A small camera (arthroscope) is inserted through tiny incisions to visualize and repair damaged structures inside the joint.

Steps to Prepare for Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery

Pre-Surgery Medical Evaluation & Tests
  • Physical examination – To assess shoulder function and range of motion.
  • Blood tests – Ensures you're fit for surgery.
  • ECG (Electrocardiogram) – Checks heart health (if required)
  • X-ray/MRI – Confirms the condition and surgical approach.
Medication Adjustments
  • Blood Thinners (Aspirin, Warfarin, Clopidogrel) – May need to be stopped a few days before surgery to reduce bleeding risk.
  • Diabetes & Hypertension Medications – Adjustments may be necessary for safe anesthesia administration.

Arrange Transportation & Post-Surgery Care
