Rotator Cuff Tendinitis

Pain Relief, Rehabilitation, and Restoring Shoulder Function

What is Rotator Cuff Tendinitis?

Rotator Cuff Tendinitis refers to inflammation of the tendons in the rotator cuff, a group of muscles and tendons that stabilize the shoulder joint and allow for its full range of motion. Tendinitis is a condition that results when these tendons become irritated or inflamed due to overuse, repetitive motions, or trauma.

The rotator cuff consists of four muscles that connect the upper arm bone (humerus) to the shoulder blade. These muscles play a key role in shoulder movement and stability. When the tendons of the rotator cuff become irritated, it can result in pain, weakness, and limited mobility in the shoulder.

Rotator cuff tendinitis can occur in one or both shoulders and is common among individuals who engage in activities that require overhead motions (e.g., athletes, manual laborers).
