Arthroscopic knee surgery is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat knee problems such as meniscus tears, ligament injuries, and cartilage damage. Since this is a surgical procedure, proper preparation is crucial for a successful outcome and fast recovery.

Pre-Surgery Checklist

Medical Evaluation & Tests
  • Meet with your surgeon for a final medical review & physical exam.
  • Complete required blood tests, ECG, X-rays, or MRI scans.
  • Disclose any existing health conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.).
  • Inform your doctor of all medications and supplements you're taking.
Medication & Diet Adjustments
  • Stop taking blood thinners (Aspirin, Warfarin, etc.) to prevent excess bleeding.
  • Avoid herbal supplements & NSAIDs a week before surgery.
  • Maintain a healthy diet with protein and vitamin-rich foods.

  • Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing (shorts, sweatpants).
  • Remove all jewelry, makeup, and nail polish.
  • Arrive at the hospital at least an hour before your scheduled procedure.
